ParticipantHello. I've been having off and on attacks for the last year. Since I started taking Uloric, I've had nothing but problems, and I don't know if it's related. I was unable to walk for a MONTH. The swelling was unbelievable in my knee and foot. I was seriously thinking it was an old ACL injury. Finally got a MRI and it revealed severe cartilage damage in my knee, from previous soccer years, and a fall I took years ago. Fast forward to being able to walk a bit, but now seem to be in the throes of another gout attack. Foot is swollen like a sausage. Been doing plenty of dairy, cherry juice, NOTHING works anymore.
?
They have me on Celebrex and Uloric. Anyone else have problems with these?

ParticipantPlease check your SUA numbers, if they are above 6 they are prone to promote a never ending attack. Check with your doctor for the correct Uloric dose and be sure that your numbers are below 5, also ask for a Rx for colchicine (my Dr. gave me colchicine for the first year, 2 pills daily).

ParticipantI would ask your doc about colchicine.? It's really made a difference in knocking down a misreable month-long attack.? Two pills a day are really helping me without causing any stomach problems.
